Dogs that become available for adoption from the three Auckland Council shelters can be seen on the Auckland Council Adoptable Animals Facebook page.

Enquiries regarding adoption are welcomed and encouraged. Meet and greets are compulsory and are by appointment. All members of the family (including dogs) are required to come to the meet and greet to ensure a good match for the family and the dog. Property inspections are carried out for all adoptions for which a fully-fenced section is required to pass successfully.
