Dogs that become available for adoption from the Palmerston North City Council shelter can be seen on the Council Website under Services/Lost dogs and dogs for adoption, and they may also be shared on the Council Facebook page.

Enquiries regarding dog adoption are welcomed. They can be made via email or online form which can be found on the Council website under Serices/Adopt a Dog. Meet and greets are by appointment and are encouraged.

The pound is open 8.30 am - 9.30 am and 2.30 pm - 4.30 pm Monday to Friday, and is located at 115 Totara Road, Palmerston North.
